Question tourqe specs for head bolts?

I need to know tourqe specs for head bolts, do you need to replace the head bolts or can you reuse them?

Yes, you should replace your head bolts. But I'm not positive on the torque numbers.

definitely replace the head bolts. when they are installed, they actually over-torque the head bolts just a little bit. when they do this is stretches the bolts just a little bit to get a good seal between the head and the block. this is on your 96 right?

these r the torque specs for all 96 engines:

2rz-fe and 3rz-fe:
Step 1: 29ft pounds
Step 2: 90 degree turn
Step 3: 90 degree turn

5vz-fe:
Step 1: 27ft pounds
Step 2: 33ft pounds
Step 3: 90 degree turn
Step 4: 90 degree turn

1fz-fe:
Step 1: 27ft pounds
Step 2: 90 degree turn
Step 3: 90 degree turn

Now, there are torque sequences but its hard to explain without actually showing it to you. Make one pass in the correct sequence for each step. I hope this helps. Sorry I can't help you with the sequences! Good luck!
