Top two bell housing bolts

Hi, I could swear that the last time I pulled the engine on my 93 4x that I was able to crawl under the truck and actually see the top two bell housing bolts. But I been under there today and I can't see them at all. Now wondering how did I get them out. I'm not pulling the trans with the engine.
Anyone have any methods to do it?

Thanks

You may need to lower the crossmember a bit to see them. On my truck, I can see the bolts from the wheelwell too, which helps if you have a helper to guide the socket for you.

+1 to lowering the trans. Support with a trans jack or floor jack/ plywood, drop it an inch or two, so much easier.

Greg...why didn't I think of that.

I used, however, a flex head ratcheting wrench. Seemed to work.

another option for future searchers, lift the engine a bit, pull out the engine mounts and drop the engine the extra inch or 2, gives much more access to those bolts.

That was a Husky 3/8" extendable flex-head ratcheting socket wrench.

Snobbs idea of a flex-head wrench is good too, maybe a large diameter pipe to go over it if you need some leverage or just longer so you don't have to reach down as far while ratcheting.

Nothingbetter's idea of removing the mounts to get some more space is a good idea to keep in mind.
