little later then expected, but here is the progress to date.

So it is in the truck now, turns over but wont start. have it narrowed down to a bad AFM. Runs with the AFM i have in waiting out of a cressida. After getting a working AFM need to get the TPS set, should be golden afterwards!!

That

is

BEAUTIFUL!!!!

fantastic looking job. those front end pics just make my brain explode seeing all that stuff there. definitely a bit more involved than doing my 22re.

hopefully get it running well soon. Why do you think you have a bad AFM or whatever?? was it running well or like poo when you took the motor out. That was one of the things I told Joe.......it ran well when we took it out, it will run better when we put it back together. so, for us, I will have nobody to blame and nothing to blame but myself if it runs like crap.

hope you get it figured out. looks like you may have detailed that motor alot more than we did....and I thought we did alot, but holy hell....you did a nice job.

Nice work, I'll drop you a line when I am a few minutes from home so you can snag the AFM.

Well, after the install it would turn over and try to catch, but no go.... checked for spark, that was good. Checked for fuel in the lines, that was good..... ( no smokeing around the engine bay for a little while...lol ) Thought i waited too long and the injectors might have been gunked up. On a whim, took the AFM out of my buddys 88' pick-up sitting next to it and viola!! started on first try. I must have trashed it when i took it apart and cleaned it. Still need to get the TPS set after i get an AFM i can use for a week or so till i get one from a P-N-P. Everything else is done minus my brake issue. Need to pick up 2 bolts/nuts/lock washers and an electrical plate ( using extreme's idea ) for raising up my brake valve 2 inches.

Hey Skinner! Looks great. Missed your update back in June. Lots of progress. Reminds me I need to get busy and solve my (hopefully soon to be reckoned with!) Knock sensor and 3of6 broken injector plugs. (If I ever get back to TX).

Love 92Toy's quote "I will have nobody to blame but myself if it runs like crap". (Insert nervous laugh here).

Your fan blade, was that OEM?? Looks like it would be super efficient with the proper shroud. I also noticed you had your P/S & A/C pumps on? Was this a total transplant?

Fan is OEM, have the shroud just didnt put it on yet till i know eveything is right. A/C and P/S are the original ones that were on there to begin with. Block is my original, heads came from a fellow yotatecher B4wheeler THANKS!! Got the AFM from RB this am, put it in and it goes! now just need to fine tune everything and get the TPS set. Also got from RB the interior light with a WORKING selector switch!!!!!! THANKS RB!!!!! Just put in the home made ?bracket? i got from lows for 3 bucks, to raise the brake valve so i dont have to pump it. It worked for extreme so hopefully this will solve my brake issue. If it does... THANKS for ( stolen ) idre from Extreme!! Will let you all know how it works out inna few hrs.

ok so still having issues. Air tube leak, vacume blank leak, TPS has a "dead spot"? in it and a yet to locate vacume leak. off to the local P-N-P for a few replacement parts tomorrow then to try and track down the vacume leak.Almost sounds like it is comming from the drvr side under the plenum..... Any ideas?

well, after b4wheeler came to my rescue with parts galore....lol I am happy to say she is back in action!!!! Replaced the AFM again, and the throttle body with TPS. Started up and runs like a top. need to find someone who has some air tube parts lying around but other then that she is golden!! Took her out and got the tires aird up and put some gogo juice in her. Have to replace a couple hose clamps, have a coolant leak, waiting for it to cool down enough to do it tho.

Your air tube.....
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Air-I...Q5fAccessories

Dorman part #

http://www.dormanproducts.com/da-18324-696-703.aspx

$30 shipped from ebay.. Not too bad.... Might be able to get the Dorman part locally.....

The AFM is a different question, but you can have mine until I need it......

Any chance you and Mike can stop by one weekend and get the old engine out for me and get me motivated ?????
