Stupid setup for many many many reasons....

Id very much like to know what happened to that V6 dakota with no fuel mods or AFR monitoring running 7psi of boost....me thinks it self destructed from detonation....

And the whole BS about no intercooler needed, yeah RIIIIIIGHT.

I think the IDEA of not needing an IC for a remote turbo(or at least needing it less), is valid, but there are so many other bad things that take the cooling advantage away.

the setup in the link for example: the guy runs the line from the turbo to the intake directly on top of the exhaust pipe. Now mabey it's just my truck(yeah right), but my exhaust pipe gets pretty damn hot. So the heat conducted to the intake pipe would keep the compressed air hot at best and at worse actually increase the air temp. Again could just be my truck...

Damn! thats hella expensive for the rods, maybe ill just have to find someone that forges! i already know that i will have to forge my pistons n take a lil bit off the dome off the piston to lower the compression ratio!

you can not get your existing pistons "forged" you can however replace your pistons with forged units.... Our 3vze pistons also dont have a dome, else we'd call our 3vze a hemi...lol To lower the CR the piston manufacture would just expand the valve reliefe to include the whole piston surface. It would probably look more like a dish, similar to the 7mgte or 2jzgte's pistons.

why would we do that? The idea of a Hemi is that it has a hemispherical combustion chamber. Which the 3VZE does not.

Mind you I guess this could be what Dodge is trying to pull with the new "Hemi"

Hey shoes...I emailed JE Pistons and they quoted me just under a grand for custom made forged pistons, pins, and "Top Seal" rings. 4 weeks to get it done.

Then I contacted IPP (importperformanceparts.net) just trying to price some stock pistons and a guy named Phil wrote me and said he makes forged pistons and quoted me $699 a set with pins.

Hope this helps some.
