That was the strangest roll over I've ever seen. Slow speed, flat sand....... and "blip" over it went. Glad you are all ok bro.
I really thought it was going to be a 90 mile per hour doughnut that went wrong while ya'll were having Roman Candle wars and throwing beer cans at each other.

I've been seriously toying with the idea of picking up a cheapo pickup, and taking the cab and motor and whatnot. Found a 92 single cab 2wd 22re 5spd for $1800, but I don't know if all the body mounts and motor mounts and all that good stuff will bolt up to my 84 frame... Gotta figure all that stuff out.

Just find someones beater 2nd gen 2wd and swap cabs. All that is different is the fender (yours didnt look too bad) and the shifter hole.
Need a new motor too? Find a running one lol. The 2wd go for pretty damn cheap.

Want a new motor, cause I'd really love to have a fuel injected 22re. I hate stall angles. That and I hope my tcase of the 84 would bolt up to the back of the 2wd tranny.
Then there's the IFS rear that it would have. Take that +3" wider axle, stuff my 529 locked third in there and I'd be happy for a while...
Hmm. Decisions, decisions....

the beach is always one of the most unpredictable places to play. when the sand is dry, it flies, and when it's wet, it's hard. but where the sand goes from dry to wet or vice-versa, it's hard to tell what it's going to do- it could slide right around you or lock up around your tread like cement... like you've experienced.
you're alive, which is all that is really important.
so how about this: piss the jeepers off with a jeep body on the truck and call it ST2.5?

"Built on a Toyota 4 x 4 chassis, the engine is relocated and the frame is stretched to accommodate rear doors.
The kits are waterproofed inside and out with Speedliner*.
Two or four door, fiberglass front, top and back.
Backs avalible in three styles - flat, slanted, or wagon and will be interchangeable."

Good point. But with the 2wd fenders, it'd give it the appearance of a wider stance. Though I've always wanted to boat or "dove" or whatever the heck you wanna call it the front for the longest time.

Ehh the cab was junk. Not worth it. I've got some ideas on what I plan to do. Think I'm gonna chop the top about level with the doors, and boat the front with the exo making up a new roof. Canvas for a roof and just figure out something for like a quick disconnect windshield.

you my friend are crazy, just kinda reminds you that anything can happen. My buddy at work broke both bones in his lower leg when we where on break while doing wheelies on a kids 50cc automatic dirt bike. funny as hell, we told the boss he fell off a curb.
Good luck with the cab swap hope to see that thing rolling again soon.

This one looks bad as*almost like the real thing those 38's? make it look so real hummer like I would pimp that all over town and then some. But I wonder will these kits work with a SAS set up? With my s/c 3.4 that thing would be awesome
