subaru 1 yota 0, got flipped
well I am now a part of the got flipped over club I will let the pics do the talking
girl ran a stop sign and hit my rear wheel and I in return hit the curb and flipped.
compared to many of the filps I have seen here mine is not that bad but I am major bummed I love this truck and now its fate is unknown to me I did have it towed home it had all of my tools in it and I was not going to leave it in some lot.
and have a crack head steal all of my tools.
as of right now I am ok but my neck is a little stiff and we will see in the morning how I feel my passenger was ok but he called me and is now complaining of neck pain so I hope he is ok.

ya the guy that towed it said he thinks they will total it I hope not
I was surprised when they flipped it over and how little it was smashed.
thing that sucks the most is I am car less until the insurance comes and looks at it.
and I live 5 miles out of town.
and I only lost the rear pass side window
also the tail gate is not working nor is the cab light.

if they total it, take the money and buy it back for cheap. My dad did this to his bmw, they gave him 3000 for it and he bought it for like 350 from them, the only thing wrong was the smashed rear bumper.

dang that sucks to hear about that. But the good thing is taht the damage appears to be very minimal. Why did you have it towed home? It looks like it would be fine to drive home. Good Luck

at first that was my plan but the cops where not hearing that
also I would have had to let it set and let the oil settle down and take out the plugs ECT ECT ECT.
it was dark and I did not really feel like effin with it I just wanted it home.

you and your passenger should go see a doctor, and make sure to mention the pains when you talk to their insurance. dont settle till you get checked out by a doctor and make sure you're both ok.
sucks you flipped, but atleast it protected you and your passenger well.
i'd do what theyre saying above if insurance does total it. theyre usually willing to sell it back at an extremely low price, and with a little work it should still be drivable

insurance will total it for sure. Just the cost of replacing that "A" pillar will do it in. Sorry to break it to ya lol. I know a bit about insurance, wrecking, and body shops. Thats about $5000 in damage, and the truck is only worth (according to insurance anyways) about $2500. We know better as Toyota owners, but when it comes to insurance, if its older than 7 years, it almost always totals.

WOW! So sorry to hear it bud, sucks to see a great truck get effed up because of somone elses carelessness.
If they total it, you can always buy it back and
1. fix it
2. part it out so it will still live! and you can get some good coin
I second the notion of going to a doctor ASAP before you speak to insurance.
They will try to pay you off with the smallest amount possible, if you feel any pain you should be rehembersed for it.
so see a doctor!

if I had been a foot closer to the curb then it really would have been toast for the pillar

before I start her back up I am going to do a complete fluid change
funny thing is I changed the tranny fluid last week to redline MT90 and it was shifting a lot smoother.
and I am not going to change that again.
her car was more drivable then mine she hit my rear tire if I had not hit the curb I don't think the truck would have flipped the rear would have just spun out.
I had almost had gone to the back of my truck and grabbed my tools and pulled her bumper for her that took all of the damage.
at the time I did not think to take pics of her car but I know where the wrecker yard is so if I can get a ride in the morning I will take some pics
like I said I wanted to drive the runner home but the cops looked at me like I was a mad man.

I instantly "felt" your loss man. Really sucks to see your misfortune. You had a nice rig. Glad you guys walked away though!
oil will spill when a rig is laying on it's side...
x2! I did the same thing with my flopped/wrecked '93 and don't regret it one bit. You can make the money back by parting it out and/or save parts you want for another Yota! I did both.
looks like you had an oil leak?

Bummer. But at least as others have said it does look like minimal damage, which could still mean total to the insurance, given the age of it. But we all know better. Buy that baby back, and get it runnin!! Or part it out, but I would get it running, it wouldnt take much!!

When I had an accident last year the other driver was at fault and I got a rental for as long as I needed (about 1 1/2 weeks) until I found a replacement and his insurance covered it, also all medical bills. All they asked was to be kept posted as to my progress, also got paid for lost work time. In my state "limited tort" is the worse thing you can have, it only saves me about $75 a year and I could have gotten paid for pain and suffering at $200 a day (in my case two weeks)!
At least you're walkin' and talkin'!
And fix the damn truck, she's worth it!!

Sorry you got hit, and I agree with the others, get yourself checked out at the doctor.
Was she yakkin' on a cell phone when that happened?
That is how a lot of those accidents happen.
She must have been doing 20 to 30 to have done that?
It looks like your rig can be fixed.
