I dont know about the longs i finally broke down and bought them but i only broke 2 birfs in 3 years and both times i was a little under the influence while wheeling (if you know what i mean) and it always seemed like more throttle was the answer but you will be alright if you lay aff the skinny peddle until you get them

Not necessarily true. I haven't had to upgrade yet. Then again, I only have 3 left out of the 7 spare birfs I had stockpiled

Definitely worth it to expense yourself out for upgrading to longs unless you have access to free spare parts.

I plan to upgrade to longfields, but at the moment, once i get the axle under the truck, im going to stick with birfs for a bit, well at least give them a try

only on 33's for now

Ah you will be alright when i first built mine it was on 38.5 boggers and i only broke one then the second one i broke on 38 ground hawgs climbing out of creek beds

To tell you the truth i have had more problems with sheeering steering arm studs and knuckels coming off then anything else

Well i want to order some arp studs to avoid that, 2 of the stock studs are fubar anyways.

Personally, I don't like the FROR mechanical lock nuts as they have been known to strip out the studs if you have to remove them. No reason not to just reuse the OEM nuts/washers/cone washers.

i just cant see in spending the money on the six shooter kit i think i can add on to what i have and make something else work just havent really checked it out
