I dont know about the longs i finally broke down and bought them but i only broke 2 birfs in 3 years and both times i was a little under the influence while wheeling (if you know what i mean) and it always seemed like more throttle was the answer but you will be alright if you lay aff the skinny peddle until you get them

Definitely worth it to expense yourself out for upgrading to longs unless you have access to free spare parts.

I plan to upgrade to longfields, but at the moment, once i get the axle under the truck, im going to stick with birfs for a bit, well at least give them a try

Personally, I don't like the FROR mechanical lock nuts as they have been known to strip out the studs if you have to remove them. No reason not to just reuse the OEM nuts/washers/cone washers.
