Steering wheel/ignition key locked

You would be better off to order a new one. That one is so worn out and getting the tumblers and everything else probably not cost effective.
I am not as familiar with the 89-95, but when you turn the key, it should some how operate a rod that releases the steering wheel lock, or that is how it is on other models. I bet if you find the correct rod, ( Need to remove steering cover?) you get to move the rod and get the wheel to turn.

Ya, guess I will just get a new one, they have them on eBay for $30 free shipping.
Plan to clean it up and list it as is right now for $1500, see if anything happens. If nothing happens after 2 weeks I will get new lock cylinder, replace CV axle, take sound system out (just sub-woofers and amp to sell separately,) and sell it like that. Anyone happen to know a decent listing price for a beat up 4runner if I sell it with everything working fine?
