the worst ticket i ever got was 86 in a 65 at 3 am on an 2 lane highway in the middle of nowhere first set of headlights i saw coming in the opposite direction in an half hour was a cop he had my speed when he was still at least 1-2 miles ahead of me filped his party lights on. I pulled over and stopped by the time he got to where i was at and gave me the ticket. my only point is even if he had his lights on he would have had you on radar before you were able to slow down anyway. so lights on-off wouldn't have made a difference.

there are laws that the radar officer must follow. check to see if there is a traffic survey on hand for the road where the ticket was issued. It has to be done in advance, cant be more then 5 years old.Unless Ma takes no cash for the department of transportation they must have these on file in the city or county traffic engineers office , You might have to pay a fee to get it.Try ticket killer.com ,I bought this guys book and had my last speeding ticket thrown out because the cop was writing illegal tickets on a road that had no survey. they were just counting on people paying the fines without question
