Just got mine back and it's good to go. No gouging

seems to drive a little firmer. Nothing said about any problems or needing replacement parts.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I would have never known about this w/o this forum!

Last month, I had the T100 in for service at my local toy shop (not a dealer).
They said my left and right ball joints were "bad", and that the idler arm had play. So I had them lift the truck and the tech showed me the play by simply moving one of the tires back and forth.

So I need some recommendations on how to proceed.
I'll need both ball joints replaced, the idler arm, and the relay rod as part of the recall.

Should I take it in to the shop and get the ball joints/idler arm replaced, and then go into the dealer for the relay rod?
I can't imagine I'll get ahead by letting the dealer do it all!

Does your Superlift kit use the stock relay rod? Mine replaced it with a Superlift part.

Mine didn't come with one for some reason. Here's the kit I ordered, it lists all of the parts. I am going to call my dealer tomorrow.

Somebody could call for me? I've never heard of recalls in Spain (Yeah, here Toyota sales trucks and cars, later of paying you don't exist for them...)

My 4Runner is diesel but except for cosmetics and the engine is almost the same.

My VIN # is JT111GND0008004200.

If someone can make me this favour I'll be very please

So has anyone actually gotten one of the Service Campaign letters yet?
I see that several of you have gotten the service done, but did you just ask the dealer to do it or did Toyota contact you first?

You don't need the letter in hand. Just take it in. They will run the VIN and tell you if your's is in the program.

I called the 800 number above as I'm not the original owner and woulndt have gotten a letter.

Toyota Corporate verified by VIN # that I qualified for the recall over the phone, and directed me to the nearest dealer and said I didnt need anything to get it done. In the shop the next day and out the day after that. Easy Cheesy.
