No big deal... you make an appointment drop off your truck and a few hours later you get it back with a brand new centre link... just make sure they have'nt forgotten the cotter pins on the castled nuts lol [see my previous post] the only down side is you will have to scrubb off all the loose surface rust a re-paint the front end to match...

no V6 recall is still in force... just drop by the dealer with your VIN and they can tell you if it was done yet or not... if not they will do it... you might want to check the status of your timing belt while there it's probably due also...

Based on CMD93 reply in a earlier post. I took my truck to Haley Toyota/Scion of Richmond. Painless. I had been putting it off because I did not want to take my truck in to the dealer and get raked over the coals.
Parts replaced
50n Steering relay rod
1 04004-70135 rod, sterring relay
2 45460-39505 Rod assy, tie, rh
Alignment
Great dealership. I drove across town to take it to that dealer and I would recommend anyone in Richmond VA to do the same.

Just so you know, the early v6's where not usually covered in the recall, they where produced before the swap to non esbestose gaskets.

I think I spelled that wrong...
