Spark plugs wires stuck???
Hi guys I am trying to change the spark plugs on my 3.0. I might say that this is one damn hard job. First off, cylinder #1 and #3's spark plug wire boots will NOT come off. They are like melted on there. Can anyone give me some advice on how to get them off?
Also Cylinder #5 is literally a black hole. I took out the spark plug on that cylinder and then heard it drop. Problem is I don't know where it dropped, due to the cluster ลลลล of hoses around there, and feeling around doesn't turn up anything. So I tried putting in a new spark plug, felt it going in but then it fell out also and that one got lost. Then I tried a THIRD one and that one just fell somewhere. What is up with this car???

Be very careful. A buddy of mine has a 87 toyota pickup and had this same problem when trying to remove the spark plug after finally removing the boot, the spark plug stripped out into the head. So now its at a machine shop getting two of the plugs out. Know these plugs hadn't been touched in god knows how long but, it can happen to you.
