That can mod makes sense and I bet a specialty remanufactured engine builder like 22re performance could give me good advice. I've got the 6 lug floating axle that was Retrofit to handle the weight. I picked it up in Florida and made it to Pennsylvania where the head gasket blew. previous owner had the gasket replaced so it was the second time and so I decided to drop in a used engine. I'll run that locally and see how it goes but after I spend some time with it and if the plumbing& electric etc checks out then I like the idea of remanufactured engine for long range trips
