Slave cylinder piston!!!
My wife went out to drive the 87 the otherday and the clutch pedal went to the floor and the fluid was all over the street.I noticed that the slave rod was all the way out holding the clutch ingaged.I also noticed that the master cylinder was leaking a bit so I replaced both.I bleed everything and the pedal felt good, then the pedal started kind of a pop half way down, then there was no pedal pressure and the new slave rod had stuck out again.I tapped it and it went back in.There was still no pressure at the pedal.As my wife was pumping the pedal for me to rebleed, it popped out again and shot fluid all over and I noticed that the piston was all the way out and the seal was hanging out.What would cause this?I am at my wits end!Also, is the pivot ball in the bell housing supposed to be adjusted?Mine is screwed all the way in and the fork has a lot of play.

Usually even if the clutch is worn to nothing, the slave and master won't explode from over extention. It's possible yes, but I think the more likely scenario is that something is bent, or perhaps cracked and is bending under pressure. Fork and rod would be the first things I would inspect. Good luck.
Oh, not to ruin your day, but if your pressure plate is binding or broken for some reason, this could ruin your hydraulics. So by simply replacing the hydraulics, the root of the problem would not be fixed. Did the clutch feel like it went in after you got the new hydraulics on? Or was there extreme return pressure on your leg prior to the new hydraulics failing?

It's a centerforce dual friction with about 1,500 miles on it.When I put it all together the throwout bearing was screaming when the pedal was in.It still worked great.Once I installed the new slave/master it felt good but with a few pumps started feeling it pop about half way down, then it blew.

Unbolt the slave cylinder and see how much play you have in the fork. THe throwbearing could have froze up and twisted the clips off the fork. The same thing happened to me and that was the problem.

The fork just slops around in there when there's no pressure on it.I am wondering if I have to adjust the pivot ball in the bell housing.

How tight should the fork be without pressure on it.Even when there was pressure on it I could move it around a bit.
I'll post a vid of how the fork moves around if it'll help.I know I'm going to have to remove the tranny but I want to kinda get an idea of where to start once I'm in there.

I'm yanking the tranny this weekend so hopefully I can get it figured out. When I move the clutch fork away from the clutch the squeeling goes away.I can't find anything on adjusting the fork.

the only adjustment that i know that can be made to the clutch on these trucks is the position in which you bolt the slave cylinder up. I looked at you other post and you will need to drain both if you plan on seperating the two. You dont have to seperate the two though unless you are trying to lighten the load then i can understand. good luck if you need any help just ask
