shifting woes

Hey guys!! big fan, finally decided to join. this site is awesome!!
anyways, i got a 1993 toyota hilux, 22re, and of course w55 trans. now, i have replaced the clutch master cylinder, clutch slave, and changed the fluid. i changed all this because the truck does like to shift into 2nd. shifting into first with the truck rolling is next to impossible, and still fills like it grinds going into other gears. ive adjusted the clutch master rod, and also looked for cracks. i haven't seen any anywhere, but stopped the truck shifts immaculate. off or on, but moving is a hastle. i have to either force it into second or give up and stop to shift. clutch fluid is fine, im positive its bled correctly. i dont expect perfection at 278xxx but still.. work in progress.

Sounds like worn synchronizer gears to me, but could be trans fluid level or type problem. Try double clutching (clutch in-shift to neutral-clutch out-clutch in-shift into gear-clutch out). That might be a work-around.

A tight or dragging clutch pilot bearing can cause these issues because it wants to turn the input shaft even with the clutch disengaged.

that’s what I was thinking but double clutching rarely helps. And I run sae 90 gl-4. I’ve replaced shifter bushing as well.

the clutch was put in at 205xxx and it’s only started in the last few months. Possibly I suppose. I remember when it started doing it. Seems early but idk if that was replaced
