A seat swap question
Now that my 91 extra cab (standard)is running again, its time for the appearance part..I'd like to put bucket seats with maybe a small center console and get rid of the 60/40 bench seat...What fits in these little trucks or what are most of you guys that did this kind of mod using ??? The original seem to sit very low,I was thinking Supra,Celica kinda stuff??

Go to your nearest junkyard or search craigslist for buckets and a console from an SR5 truck or 4Runner. They'll bolt right in.
There are tons of threads on this.

All pick up seats from 89-95 Bolt in.
All 4Runner seats from 90-95 also bolt in.
Note 1, Excab pick up seats slide back 2" farther then 4Runner, Not sure if reg cab uses same sliders as EXCab.
Note 2, 4Runner seats slide 2" closer to the wheel then EXCab seats.
Note 3, 4Runner seats don't have the little lever to make the seat tilt and slide forward that the EXCab seats do to let the persone in the back out (In reg cab it would not matter)
Note 4, 4Runner seats have the cool magazine holder on the back that pick up seats don't (is sad).

I have a 94 that came with the 60/40 split. I bought a set of used buckets that supposedly came out of another 94 p/u. The passenger side bolted in, but the driver's side didn't exactly line up and I had to have a bracket welded in order to make that 4th seat bolt work.
I found a console that was from a 4Runner.
A local fab shop made me a nice cupholder that's bolted to the floor just ahead of the console.
It's all good.

Certainly, davis. PM me your e-mail and I'll send you a bunch of pix that I already have. Gimme a couple of days since I'm currently traveling.
It's fabbed from galvanized steel, has a lower tray that does a decent job of hiding stuff and cutouts for two cups. What's really nice about the design is that it tapers toward the top, so less interference when shifting into 2nd/4th- a tall bottle or cup can actually get in the way a little.
Mine's showing a wee bit of corrosion, though, so probably best to paint or something.
