and now for the fun-
the 22re injectors are all wired in parallel- all 4 fire at the same time.
If you switch say #2 and #3 injector plugs (they should reach) the problem should follow the plug from #2 to #3 if it's a wiring problem, or stay on #2 if its the injector... or something more mechanical like a sticking or mal-adjusted valve in #2.
"Noid" lights are great trouble shooters here too since they will reveal if the injector is getting a signal. No "flash" of the noid, no signal.

the ECU has two injector outputs. the wiring harness connects those two outputs together so all injectors fire at the same time, once per engine revolution, but twice per cycle. almost like Toyota was trying for a more precise engine management system but stepped backwards to get it certified. As a compromise, one pulse per engine revolution would require injectors rated for 1/2 the flow per interval since the injectors would deliver 100% of the fuel required and be able to deliver 50% of the fuel with each crankshaft revolution.
Not sure if that makes sense....

now i got a new problem... but i did narrow it down to a vacum leak at the egr valve.... i dont know whether or not this will fix it but ill try... basically i took it for a small run, the idle was erratic and it tends to sputter... can this all be caused by the egr leaking??
