Rough idle/miss out of the blue...22re

This 4runner is really starting to get on my last nerve, never had a problem so frustrating as this. It's an 86 and I've been very thorough about getting it into good running condition but have this problem that I can't figure out.

Symptoms are it acts like it's completely missing on one cylinder, super rough idle, very low idle to the point of dying, absolutely no power at all. It's done this twice now, the only common denominator is that it was cold out and raining.

In the last 2 months I've put a new Engnbldr head/cam, coil, cap and rotor, wires, plugs, timing chain, completely cleaned the TB and intake runners, O2 sensor, adjusted the TPS, timed with a light (while engine hot), adjusted valves a week ago while hot and it's been running great. No problems at all. The first time it happened I left it alone, started it back up later that day and it ran fine. I just drove 6 blocks and it ran fine, shut it off and jumped back in a couple minutes later and it started doing it.

WTF?!

Oh and it has a new fuel filter, air filter and injectors all within the last 2 months.

Ok tried pulling the plug wires off from the distributor one by one to see if it made a big difference while running. The #4 didn't seem to matter much but it was running like such crap, maybe it's me. Pulled the connector on the #4 injector, ran much worse so I'm guessing that's not the culprit.

When I first start it, it runs but kinda rough, within 10 seconds it's idling like crap and rpm's dropping until it nearly stalls out.

Think I checked the torque about 2 weeks ago when I went over the valves again. They're ARP studs, new head and gasket within the last 2 months so man if I gotta yank that all off again I'm gonna be pisssssed. Might as well go out and retorque and pray.

Think you hit the nail on the head. Had two that weren't quite up to torque specs. Thanks man.
