Rolled my truck need help figurin out whats wrong with engine.
I rolled my truck into a ditch hit some ice 180'd and flopped her on its lid. It took at least an hour before we could get it on its wheels. im pretty sure oil is everywhere its not supposed to be. does this mean i have to tear down the motor or can this be solved with less work. 3.0 V6 5speed. i tried turnin the motor over and it just made a back fire sound. And that is all it will do right now..:ba ng:

yeah..
x2,,,sorry bout your rollover..
it cannot be anything too bad...
did you crimp a fuel line ?> check fuel pressure at the fpr.
you only need air, fuel and spark to get it running.

pull the plugs and squirt some carb cleaner in the cylinders and spin the engine over letting whatever squirts out do so.
keep doing that a few more times then let it sit a while. put new plugs in (or clean your old ones really well) and see if it starts.

well i suppose ill try to answer this one before and scarcasm and or bashing lol its the.. well correct me if im wrong guys.. pcv stands for positive crankcase ventalation.. its a small filter like item that its more then likely pluged into the top of your valve covers or cover with a tube going from it to the intake.. in normal opperating conditions it keeps the oil from getting up into the intake.. but when its put on its side and on its lid the oil will just flow through it, and into the intake.. hence the smoke you mentiond of the first time it rolled... well atleast thats my take on them... me and tyler are talkin about gettin a bender so........ wooohooo its gettin close to cage time
