Ithink it might be the original o2 sensor, when I leaned out AFM the rich smell in the exhaust went away. The previous owner didn't mark the stock setting so I just adjusted it 2 teeth at a time and drove it and checked the smell. The power seems to be about the same maybe a little better acceleration or it could be my imagination, but the smell is gone, all in all I think I moved it up about 5 or 6 clicks clockwise or leaner.

The little tiny buttHP from that type of adjustment prolly wouldnt be very noticable, but i know what you mean.
Im excited i actually helped someone actually solve a problem, I wont lie im still somewhat of a newb.
But congrats you got it good again, i was actually going to say the P/O might have actually marked the original spot already but you answered my question.

I'm not sure how big of a deal it is, but most articles say not to move the AFM more that 3 clicks. Can anyone comment on this?
I have done close to the same mods as the OP, although I have the 3vze not the 22re. My truck seems to smell rich as well, but much better since I re-installed the cat. Is there something to do with these mods that will effect the original location of the AFM? Could it be caused by the TPS? That is about the only sensor that I haven't replaced.

yeah I didn't want to move it too many clicks just enough for it to smell better and not so rich, the weird thing is I was getting 19.5 MPG in the city so I am excited that this may get me even better mileage, I will keep you posted! Thanks for the help guys!
