Why not send your injectors out for a professional cleaning . I sent mine here and they flow test them, clean them, then flow test again and give you a before/after comparison chart after .Plus send them back with all the necessary o-rings, and pintle caps to put them back in. Turn around time was quick.

The cost mostly. I checked them and they all worked fine.
After i ran them the cleaning fluid was pristine. I have never ran cheap gas.

Ok that are all done and back in the truck. problem is I need to get this thing running and safety inspected. My new plugs are not here yet. Well it cause a problem is i put a little bit of RTV at the out side base of the injector plug to hold the connector on for a week or so?

It should be easy to remove when the connectors get here.

For a temporary fix until you get your connectors, you could use a small ziptie to hold them on.

I had zip-ties holding the connectors for years. It does work. Most zip-ties will embrittle at those temperatures, but it takes years.

You're not holding much force; just loop the zip-tie over the point at the base of the injector where it gets narrower.

I wanted to make sure I have some screw off time before I had to put the new plugs in. This way I could wait a week or two. ( I think)

This should be ok for a while right?

sorry to bring up a slightly old thread.

i replaced my injector connectors. i had the same originals that you have. the wire lock in the connector is a pain, and is virtually impossible to remove with the plenum still installed. fact is, i broke off the wires and part of the connector because i got tired of not being able to remove them easily. i ran it for about 8 months that way with no injector operation issues. they never loosened, and i checked the "fit" every two weeks or so.

the replacement pigtails, although looked down upon by some, work fine. i like the design of the ones i chose - they are EASY to unclip from the injectors with the plenum installed (and everything else). i don't have to disassemble anything to unplug them now. the new pigtail/connector provides a positive solid lock. mine happened to be purchased from Injector Repair LLC in NY. No problem:

I got the replacements but they are still in the box from the mail man.
Mine are working for now as well. I don't want to push any problems. So i'm holding off until I need to fix them or i'm working in that area.

another great first impression. what does your ignition timing have to do with fuel injector connectors and replacing them? try posting your question in a suitable thread.
