Replacing dented/smashed body panel
Hey guys! I have a '95 4runner that got into an accident a few years back. As a result, I have some damaged parts that I would like to replace. I just have a couple questions as to how to do it and which parts need to be replaced. If you look at the picture it is apparent that I need to replace the door. The other part that is under it (not sure what to call it) also needs to be replaced but I'm not sure how big of a panel it is. It looks really big but I'm just hoping that there's a seam that I just can't see. If anybody could give me a diagram of the body panels or give me a name for that part that would be great. Thanks
BTW, sorry if I sound newbish. It's probably because I am. I'm just getting into this scene and I would ultimately like to renovate this car and turn it into a mild offroading vehicle.
TLDR; What is the name of the damaged body part that goes under and around the door.

I'm not much of a "bodyman" (or "PanelBeater" in New Zealand, I think), but I think this sort of repair is usually done with body hammers and other such tools. Good chance to learn; why don't you pick up a book on body work?
