Replacing coils and torsion bars
I'm set to replace my sagging rear coils and stock torsion bars. I finally have enough money in the bank for it. I want people's opinions on what to get.
So far, I plan on getting OME-901 HD rear coils and SAW 25mm torsion bars.
(I'll be running 31x10.5x15 Michelin's and hopefully later switch to 32x11.5x15 BFG MT's)
That should keep me even in front and back I assume and raise up my saggy @$$. I will be hauling stuff from time to time, I plan on getting a heavy front bumper, and doing the 3.4 swap. Those are my reasons for going with HD suspension.
Any comments? Any suggestion on if I should switch my plans.
P.S. I read that the Rancho 5000's that I currently have will fit my 4Runner with 1-2 inches of lift. Is anyone currently running this sort of a setup and can you comment on it?

Bump for the morning. I know that this has been covered before, I just want to know any tips and tricks that can help me get it done easier.

If your not running a HEAVY winch bumper you do not need 25mm torsion bars. All they will do is make your ride REALLY stiff. I have a winch bumper and 25mm is too much bar still.
IMO get ball joint spacers, and leave the stock t-bars in there, you will be MUCH happier. When you get the heavy bumper and 3.4 then think about the torsion bars.

I agree with him with all the searching i have done i am getting the BJ spacers and coils for mine...i rode in a truck with them and the ride was better than stock in my opinion......search ball joint spacers and there is a ton of great information.....or pm strap22 he knows what he is talking about and can get you the parts you need....

Put the coils in and then see how your ride sits. Mine did not need spacers and it rides level. Yes, I have Downey springs but still, I would see if you need spacers first, before they are in. IMO - I like to add one item then see the difference - then move on to the next. Just my opinion.
Also agree with AH64ID I rode in a runner with heavy duty torsion bars and it was really rough. Again, see if you need them with your new bumper first. Strap22 is the way to go for all parts, agree again with AH64ID

I'd like to at least get a new pair of torsion bars, reason being that those aren't on my dollar. So can someone recommend a pair of good torsion bars that would provide a good stable ride on road but fair well off road?

I know alot of people run the 901HD's but I think the 900's are fine for occasionally hauling heavy stuff. They're noticably heavier than the stockers but they don't hurt ride quality. The 900's raised mine quite a bit, the rear fender lip was about 1-1.5" higher than the front. It was enough that i felt like I was sliding forward in my seat!
