replaced drivers mirror now bad angle?

I replaced the drivers mirror with a KOOL-VUE TY31EL mirror.

figured out what wires matched up to the factory harness to get it to move properly. got it all mounted, closed the door and the angle is waaay off.

its angled inward too much and i cant adjust it out near enough to make it useful....

im pretty sure i installed it all right. what did I do wrong?

oh, 93 4runner 4X4

How much do you need to be able to use it ??

Is the mirror folded out all the way??****As these fold in for tight garages

This is a direct replacement made for your 4Runner .

If it is not able to adjust to your needs talk to the vendor you bought it from.

Boxed wrong in this day and age happens all to often.

If you bought this used and you have no other options you may be able to shim the mirror out enough to make it work.

Missing spacer perhaps ??

I ended up taking both units apart and using the OEM mounting hardware on the new unit. it was a pain in the ass. I had to compress the spring with a vice and C clamp. i should have taken pictures. If i have to do the same with the passenger side i will.

if you compared the new unit to the old where it mounts to the door. Its obviously not angled right, something like 20 degrees inward.

So you have no idea if you have the wrong mirrors

For sure they are not for your vehicle.

the box says 90-95 4runner. but you are correct, I have no idea. I emailed the vendor and gave them the same spiel. they were very helpful but since i took everything all apart, its all moot now.

If you got it mounted and you like it, that's all that matters. Nice job, MacGyver!
