Note that the exact feeler gauge values are not terribly important, use the closest gauge you have to the value, or stack two thinner gauges to make one the right thickness. Its unlikely you'll be able to adjust the TPS by hand to 0.001" anyway (in fact if you can get within 0.01" or 0.1mm you are doing pretty good!).

Less than 2300 (2.3K) ohms means just that, anything less than 2300 is fine; 2299 is less than 2300. 996.5 is less than 2300, 0.1 is less than 2300.
Basically any reading in the range of 0.0 to 2299.9 is less than 2300. If your meter reads less than 2300, that is fine.

I have reached my limits of patience and ability.
My tps apparently needs adjustment, and I was going to do so today (I took the feeler gauge to it, no continuity if I did everything right) but on top of not wanting to take off the thermostat housing, I also dropped the clip that holds the connector onto the tps.
If I thought it'd do any good I would have punched in the grill of my truck.
If someone from the forums would like to come on by, I can provide some gas money, a meal and something cold to drink (I don't buy or serve alcohol, sorry). Otherwise I'm considering taking out a loan to take it to a dealership. I'm not taking it to any other mechanics in this area unless I can get a referral out of the local Toyota dealership.
I just want my truck running right now. ):

I have found a local, reputable garage who is willing to work with me on cost. They'll be by to pick up Bradley on Monday. Looking forward to being able to drive my truck again.

To bad you are so far away, I would give you a hand. Not many Yota guys in my area so I can feel your frustrations. There are a lot of Tennessee guys on here that might could give you a better reference then Toyota dealer. A lot of the guys working these trucks at the dealer are not familar with the 22r series motors.
A guy I know that was a mechanic in the late 80s and early 90s isnt familar with problems that are age related. He worked on them when they were under warranty. Other then the TPS issues what are some of the other issues you are having?

No more surging idle, it just idle-dies once it warms up and then you have to constantly keep your foot on the gas. I think it's a timing issue due to the distributor not being properly tightened down. I cannot get it timed right just with a distributor alignment. Plus my battery isn't holding a good charge (if it's off for a while it drains, might have a short somewhere now, dear God I hope not). I just hope there isn't anything more serious then the timing being off (again). I'm not sure I could handle that at this point.

Well after several more rounds of repairs, this time by competent mechanics, I am back to having the timing chain redone because the guy who did it last time mucked it up. The latest repair included having the neutral switch repaired as it got to the point I couldn't get the electrics to come on from turning the ignition. We doing the timing chain is going to cost another $500, but it will be worth it to have it done right finally now and then I can focus on the body and the frame and all that. He still looks the same but he is slowly starting to get better.

Would it be possible to swap out my rusty panels (after all the other important stuff is taken care of) for aluminum ones? If so, at what cost?

Got my truck back, now to save up for the frame and then start working on the little stuff (speedometer cable, oil pressure gauge, parking brake, fuel lines, etc.)

Well, the person I was going to get the frame and stuff from is now gone from here. C'est la vie.
Truck is running great, I think the timing is still a bit off, though, as he idles at 100-200 rpm instead of 850rpm. Should be a simple fix (I have the timing gun and a paint marker), just need to do it.

Frame cracked in half on the left side just in front of the rear shock mount about a year ago. Funds have been tight so it's just been sitting, waiting to a quote to have it welded back.
I have not cranked it over as often as I should, though. The battery still has full charge, starter cranks, engine begins to go through rotation and just stops. Is this fixable or did I ruin my truck?

Also, turns out I just had to charge the battery, c'est la vie. Not my problem anymore (I cranked him a few times, still purred like a kitten).
The saga is officially over, I sold Bradley for parts today, possibly getting a 1979 2wd in trade + $100, otherwise it was sold for $400.
