Removing Old Alarm. Oh my this is bad.
Before I start cutting and SOLDERING my wires back I wanted to ask for some help.
I'm getting rid of the old alarm. Its 30 years old (state of the art back then) It automatically rolled up the windows and locked the doors. I don't have any idea of the brand or any info on it.
When ever it rained the leaking window would set the alarm off. I think it is what killed my power windows and power locks at the same time. I pulled the relays to stop the it from causing a fire if it failed.
I was driving home one day and the locks would click then i got out of the car and smoke came out of the door. Yikes!!!!
Questions.
1. Can I just cut the wires and connect them to the same types (I.E. Red with White strip)
2. I check all the fuses that i know about they are all good.
Note: Both windows and lock went down at the same time.
I'm going out to day any pull the door panel and put power right to the window motor and power lock actuator I haven't tested the door control switch but I suspect its good. I will be testing that too.
Anyone have a pic of how it should look. 1986 22re sr5
Edit: My dad is looking for the paper work. He says its was a hornet alarm that have voice back in 1998. Im hoping i will get the model number. ( If he finds the paper work)

Alarm Disconnect
It took me almost a year and two batteries to find everything affected by the alarm in my '85 4Runner. Each time I found a drain and cut the wire it would get better but battery still drained. Finally one night without a flashlight I was under dash and there was a device emitting a faint glow, mercury switch I guess, and when I clipped that every thing was fine. Slow and easy. Good luck.

I removed one that was similar to what you have on yours. Look at Toyota wires and you get the idea of how they color coded them and see the difference in the aftermarket wiring. They use crimp connectors that cut into the wiring so remove each one at a time and repair the damaged wire. The wiring runs everywhere but most of it is in the area you have pictured. The alarm system seems to have all solid color wiring.
You have one of the more fully loaded SR5 trucks. That two prong plug is for a drop light that seems to be a rare option. I have yet to see a drop light that came with these trucks and have only seen a couple of trucks with that option on it.

Ok I have a victory
The only parts left of the old alarm are a few wires.
1. The old shock sensor.
2. the sirion.
3. The lights connection ( It flashes them when the alarm does stuff.)
Of of these are neatly tied up under the dash and labeled.
There was already a hole here so I added a SPST switch to the Door Jamb Switch so I could have the door open with out the key buzzer going off all the time.
The only parts left of the old alarm are a few wires.

A lot of the times ( 95%) the starter would only click. Now its 100% working. ..
I checked the starter fix but mine was wired different. Anyway its all good now.
