Relocated the license plate so visible with new MC bumper
After putting my new MC bumper on my truck the license plate was not visible enough to be legal so this is how I solved the problem...I mounted the light wear the roll pan is and it clears the tailgate and everythink I just cut the wires from the old lights and hooked them up to this...here's some pics...

Its well worth the money if you wheel hard! And it just looks BA!! Mine has already saved both tail lights and rear quarter panels numerous times just after one wheelin trip...I probably wouldn't have gone on the trail I did without it

now all you need are lights on it and it's 100% legal. you need either one light centered above it, shining down, or two lights, one on each side, shining towards the center. the light shining up from below is not considered legal and actually could get you a ticket because of that.

In CA it doesn't matter where the light is as long as you have it illuminated and visible from 50 ft...my dad's a CHP and he said that there is nothing illegal about the light placement as far as he knows, however the light does not illuminate it enough to be seen from 50 ft as I found out after installing the light that night so I am gunna be looking for a better light to light it up with and may end up putting one on the bottom and one on the top. I just need to find a light that is a little more low profile cause the one I have now sticks out like 3 inches that's why I mounted it where its at
*cheers*

You may not be able to see it in the picture but the light is tilted away from the tail gate like this / so you can not see the bulb from the rear I just need to find a brighter light and mount it in a better position cause I know for sure it does not light it up enough a only looked one place for lights so I need to look around...
