Yeah I dont even want to guess at how many hours are in this project..... I could have made a lot more money at work but I learned a lot and had fun. It was very satisfying! Thank you again for all your help and advice Ken!

Nice job, boy that front gear swap grew into a bigger job, way to get on it. What is that writing on the truck door?
#124
Yeah it turned into a bit of a job, but a lot of it was over due maintenance on my part. I still need to do a timing chain and water pump on it too, but that can wait awhile. I have some stuff to do on my car in the mean time. The writing on the door has to do with me being a dork... "vault-tec" is a fictional company company that makes nuclear bomb shelters in a post apocalyptic world in the video game series called "fallout" It is the favorite game of my son and I. You would not believe all the attention this crappy old truck gets.... my wife hates it and it drives her nuts that people like my truck. I am a high school teacher so all the kids at school are jealous. lol

Agreed, but i wasn't waiting for parts... I needed the truck out of the garage. I've done timing chain before by just removing the front two oil pan bolts. Its kind of a pain but totally doable.

What part of PA are you in that got that much snow? They were forecasting 4-8", but we barely got more than 1 inch.

Lucky! My dad and his family are from Tempe.... We visit now and then. I really like AZ. And as much as I hate the snow at time.....I would miss the change of seasons if I ever left.
