Rear window stopped working

Rear window stopped working
So yesterday a buddy of mine slammed my spare tire closed pretty hard and now the automatic rear window will not go back up it is making the click and the interior lights dim when I press the button to put the window down as it did when it worked but it does not do any of this when I press it to roll up the window as it did when it worked. Of course another thing to fix after I just finished my clutch bracket repair.

If not for friends breaking things on your 4Runner you would have nothing to fix!!
The hard hit from the spare tire must have knocked something loose .
I hope it did not break the glass as well.

Lights dimming means system sees a load, meaning power is getting somewhere, hopefully to the motor. However, if nothing is moving, it could be the motor is broken/stuck or something inside the tailgate broke off or moved and is now mechanically-keeping window from moving.
Best thing to do is open tailgate access panel and inspect for above.
