Rear wheel seal parts needed

Other than the seal, what other parts are needed for the job? My passenger rear seal is leaking? Isn’t there a bearing in there that may need replacing as well? Never tackled this job before. Any help appreciated

You will need the wheel Bearing, Bearing Retainer, Inner Oil Seal, Outer Oil Seal, Snap Ring, O Ring.. and I think that's it off the top of my head? There are many, many threads on this, and some very helpful youtube videos that walked me through the process. Specifically Axlemans(he's arlindsay1992 on Yotatech).

You will also need a hydraulic press to get the old bearing off, and new bearing on. Or you can do the ol' smash the shaft on a piece of wood or something.. but that didn't work for me. I ended up fabricating a bracket to hold everything, then a BFH to unseat the bearing.. but I work in a metal fab shop, that option isn't open to most people.

edit: here is a link to the kit Marlin sells. I wish I had ordered this. I went with Rockauto, got the bearing, retainer, and both oil seals, but had to go to the dealer and get my O ring and Snap ring.

Edit2: Of course, this is for an '87 4runner, I'm not sure what you're driving..

I did the axle drop on wood and it worked like a charm, but I used a Dremel with a cut-off wheel and got rid of the retainer first. I don't think it'd work with the retainer still on.
