Rear brakes wont bleed,HELP!

Changed the whole rear axle and now the brakes in the rear wont bleed. They don’t seem to be getting any fluid at all. I changed all the lines from the one i had on to the one i got. Both the bleeding valves too. Looks like the LSPV is still getting fluid but not the hard line that goes to the rear brakes.?

you might need to see if the lspv arm itself can move, to open the ports in the valve body allowing fluid to flow to the rear brakes. if the valve is frozen closed, no brakes.

On my 92, the LSPV was seeping fluid. Had to take the worn rubber boot off of it. Some water and fluid came out when I took the boot off, and the LSPV was a rust bucket. Had to buy a new one.

How did you verity the LSPV is getting fluid? Loosening a line and watching it leak or loosening the bleed screw? Might be worth trying to bleed the LSPV again, then your pass rear, and finally the drivers rear. Does the pedal get harder to push as you go with no fluid coming out at the drum bleeders or is it soft? Could just be a lot of air in there too.

pedal gets hard and builds pressure and fluid comes out of the bleeder but will try re bleeding it and see if that changes anything

Best thing I ever did was to buy one of the Harbor Freight bleeder kits. Just need an air compressor to go along with it. Don't need anybody to help now, and bleeding brake problems went away. Still only $30 at Harbor Freight.

So you're building pressure but it's not getting down to the drums, really seems like that LPSV is malfunctioning if the fluid isn't get passed that. What about the line going from the LSPV to the hard line on the axle, if you pull that at the axle do you get fluid coming out of it? Work back through your lines to see where the flow stops. I have heard of guys putting in manual proportioning valves to replace the LSPV although I haven't had to dive down that rabbit hole myself yet.

sounds just like a stuck shut valve in the lspv. the actuator arm moves the valve up/down. if it sat in place for a long time, the valve can get frozen in place and the arm will no longer move it, even though the arm itself can still move (flexes). if it is frozen in the "light load" position, very little or no fluid will pass to the rear wheel cylinders.
