Rancho RS5000 on a non-lifted 2WD?
Apologies for cross-posting, but the 2WD forums don't seem to get much traffic. My post from there:
Hey All,
So I've got an unlifted 1994 2WD Pickup with RS5609 in front and RS5601 in back, and according to Rancho they're a correct fit. So why the heck does my suspension feel like old jello? I've been driving on them for a little while and honestly the ride is barely better than the original 21 year old shocks that I replaced. Are these better for trails not regular street driving?
And a followup: anyone have a favorite decent-grade general use shock for these trucks?
Thanks
And yes, I am totally willing to sell these if they're wrong and you want them. Only have about 1,000 miles of regular, unexciting driving on them.

In my experience, the 5000's are fairly soft until you hit something hard. this makes for a nice dirt road and trail experience as it seems to just absorb everything without hop and shutter, meanwhile not beating you up either. probably not ideal for a street truck though.
