Racked by guilt...I must confess
I am living in shame. It is time to confess my sins and hope that I am not stricken from this site, verbally abused and have my name equated with chicken feces.
The story begins when I sold my Sequoia and bought a sedan. Suddenly, I had SUV pangs, so I bought a an 86 4runner so I could feel whole again. The 86, which I dubbed WOPS (Worn Out Piece of (EXCREMENT)) was, as it's name implies, pretty far gone. Knowing I'd need them, I advertised locally for 4runner parts and was contacted about an entire 89 runner. The guy told me I could have the whole thing cheap. True, it was a 3.0 auto but I stole it for $600. The upside is the body and interior are perfect and it has (had) a 2-3 lift so it looked tougher than it actually was. WOPSII was reborn!
But now it is time to speak of my transgression...Last week I cut off WOPSII's balls by removing the lift. Gone are the extended travel upper arms, 26mm downey torsions, front axle extension mounts and extended bump stops from the front. Tonight after work the 2-3" spring blocks come out of the rear.
Now, the parts now lay on my garage floor and mock me. I can't look at them. WOPSII sits on the drive looking like a former boxing champion that just grew breasts. I have never intended on wheeling WOPSII but I know I have sinned.
I humblely seek forgiveness from a higher power.

Jay - didn't put them on...the runner came with them. Maybe a few less lashes?
Space junk- thanks for the idea...didn't occur to me that someone might want them. Still very good shape (except the bushings are toast and need replacing).

If I was planning on lifting my truck I would ACTUALLY GIVE YOU MONEY to send those to me, unlike more stingy members *cough cough*
But seriously, not every Yota has to be big and bad, I'd love to have a completely stock DD plus my other rig. And if it required buying a lifted truck and taking the lift off, so be it.
And just for kicks you should post before (w/ lift) and after (w/o lift) pics. . .just because I don't think anyone really has done that before. They're always adding lift and taking pics backwards, silly people

Space,
I'll take a look after work. I am the third owner of this runner. It started live in CaveCreek, AZ where I'm sure it had a fabulous childhood. The owner moved to Houston, had the engine redone by Toyota when they did the head gasket recall, bought a lift kit for it somewhere along the line and then sold it to one of his employees. That guy parked it on his ranch as a ranch vehicle.
I've got every receipt every issued for this truck and all it's parts so I can check the lift kit receipt for brand. Will let you know.

as sa51 said, they would appear to be the Rancho's; I just bought a set on-line from a guy at another forum
as a matter of fact, they should be here today... UPS is running a little behind...
but what's with the other bracketry? diff mounting? I have a seperate diff drop to go on with the kit...
