Pretty new here, posting pics
Hey guys, I've only been on here a couple of weeks and FINALLY got my truck in good running condition. A lot of you have been very helpful with several issues I've had with it and I thank you all for your input. Figured I'd post some pictures now that it's actually in my driveway, not my garage. All feedback is welcome, again, thanks!

Welcome to YT!
this looks strikingly familiar; who else on here has a step-side bed; I could have swore I've seen some pics on here of one...
looks good man!

Yeah, looks like a custom build with some bolt on fiberglass fenders. Not a fan, but I had to mod the tailgate a bit, and build the rear bumper which I need to push back down...damn bobcat.

As much as I've always hated the fenders and 1/4 panels on my first generation 4runner, I like how the front fenders match your step side bed. Looks good.
How did you get the filler neck on the passenger side to work with the bed?

When I bought the truck the neck was inside the bed with a hole cut in it (YIKES!) My biggest fear was a piece of steel, or something was going to snap it off, thus causing my life with this truck to be even more hell... Just after I took these pictures I cut out the hole for the filler neck that was already there, and cut out an exact hole on the other side so I could just fiberglass the pieces back in. I re-routed the filler neck the way it should be, and now it looks mint, just without a dummy filler neck on the drivers side.

Thank you guys! I appreciate the compliments. What are your thoughts on running a dual exhaust set of stacks up behind the cab? I've always wanted to do it on a stepside, and I finally have it, but I don't know if it would be worth it. I don't want to sound like a heard of mosquitos going down the road lol.

I need to take care of the necessities first. It's gonna need some brakes soon, if you look at the rims, they're pretty rusty inside, so I might try to find some CHEAP rims, and I'm going to need a CV axle in the upcoming months too, so I need to go easy on the wheeling. My next biggest question, how reliable are the 22R engines? I've heard great things, I'd like to get some personal opinions on this though. Thank you guys!

Sounds awesome. I rebuilt half the damn motor when I bought it, it sat for "3 weeks" HAH! New timing set, new distributor, new carburetor, new timing cover, plugs, wires, vacuum lines, break lines, fuel lines, and I still have no heat, guessing the thermostat is stuck, and I need to figure out why the fuel guage doesn't work. I get about 18 miles to the gallon though, and I haven't even hit the highway yet.

Nice ride, don't know about running stacks on it though, it'd be a shame to ugly it up like that, but that's just my two cents. Then again, I am partial to stepsides, improve on it, don't go backwards.....
