Power to Manual window swap

I take it you cannot swap a power window regulator for a manual type in an '89 4Runner SR5? Did Toyota really have two types of doors for power vs manual windows?

Thanks.

Thanks but I'm not sure what your door looks like but mine seems to be missing the necessary holes around the crank. Maybe its an '89 thing, it was an odd year. Here are a few pics of my door along with the new regulators.

Slacker,

thanks for your pics that helps. i was thrown off w/ my door where in my 2nd pic has the 4 gold bolts used with the factory power regulator. From what I'm seeing I'll use the two lower holes closet to the handle opening along with the upper rear. So only 3 bolts are used rather than the 4 I have?

i'll pull the door panel and take a look.
Thanks

your manual regulator dosnt look right though ? it should be only 3 bolt for a manual window not 4
/89 4runner is not the same as an 89 pick up . I think you have the wrong regulator , or maybe that just the way the aftermarket made it ?

Looking at yours I would concur. I purchased them from Low Range Off Road, they listed a number of Toyotas including my 89 4Runner.

Thanks.
