Here's my '94. On a muddy Sunday afternoon cruise in the Bear River Mountains, UT. We wouldn't have taken this road if we knew how muddy it was going to be (for the road's sake), but continuing on was the lesser of two evils (lesser than clawing our way back up the hill we pretty much slid down to get into the basin). Legal? Yes. Responsible? Er, let's just say we won't repeat. We spent the rest of the day on snowy north aspects, having more fun and not trashing turf.

If fitted LPG gas to my diesel 3L, a W2A intercooler, lockers, and lots of other touring stuff

I really needed some maxx tracks that arvo, that whole area gave way and turned to pea soup as soon as you spun your tyres to move, mid weason water fall trip no often explored, Rule number 1 always go with a mate

I agree with you on that one, I went out on some tracks between the Isa and Camooweal during the wet season, I am glad we were in a group of 6 4x4's. But alas we took no pictures. too busy working and getting totally covered in mud.

I know I don't know much about autos/mechanicals and such, but on the
Aussie's truck on the prev page- does he have a hot/cold running water thing in the back? I am sure that has to be homemade, but does it actually have hot and cold water? Also on the engine, what is it? Is that something they can have but we cannot? It appears to be a carbeurated motor, which to me sounds old, but his engine is running with a serpentine belt, which says newer.
So what are the specs on that engine?

He posted his mods in another thread. He has a hot/cold shower installed in the back, and the motor is a Holden V8. Holden is part of GM down under.

Yeah a good hot shower is whats needed after a long day in the seat touring, you can make a home made heat exchanger from about 3meters of copper tube wrapped inside some exhaust tube, or various shop bought systems are out there, but most all run off your existing engine coolant tapped into your heater/demister core, etc

I generally use a 20L bucket to warm up the same water in the bucket warm enough to shower under, as the water straight out the exchanger is generally too hot to shower under with engine running, and if you can be bothered to fine tune your heater tap to adjust the flow of coolant through the heat exchanger, good luck, I swear a camping trip with hot water is nearly like a proper holiday, home away from home,

How many 4cyl diesel 4runners are out there in the US, seems to be very uncommon. If any out there what mods are you guys doing to your oilers?
Id love to hear any about any technical stuff.

I have the 3L model 2.8Litre N/A diesel with toyota CT20 turbo,12psiboost, rebuilt block with oversized forged pistons, turbo grind cam, ported head, oil cooler, water to air intercooler, Liquified Petroleum Gas injection, aluminium radiator, reworked Injection pump, high flow injectors, 2.5 straight exhaust, running a R150 v6 gearbox, with approximately 100hp at the wheels
soon to be dynoed, Im hoping to bring the power level up to 120hp or close to 100kw at the wheels with higher boost, and larger LPG jetting, is this reasonable to expect an L engine to cope with this power ouptut
