93 DLX 5-speed 4x4

Slowly refreshing her. Dad bought her new back in ‘92 and she’s been the family workhorse ever since. Last 6 years however, she’s been sitting in a driveway due to a blown head gasket the parents didn’t get fixed. Gifted ownership and got heads rebuilt, timing belt, water pump, etc now she’s back on the road. I got some new headlights so I can drive her in the dark and resurfaced/repainted the windshield wipers. Just received oem ball joints, and everything else to rebuild the front end steering and suspension, in the mail. So next up is steering, brakes and bushings.

"Its a Toyota thing"...Love these trucks, hate those seatbelts. I noticed theyre less of a problem if you dont use em.

Lets see some details on that flatbed please

It's just become habit now for EVERY car I get out of, to move the belt into the seat.

Click the link in his signature (or go to his profile if you're on mobile) for the full build up.

That is pretty funny... I didn't actually pay much attention to the seatbelt until irab88 mentioned it. I think the first thing I noticed was your dog. Nice truck, and dog!

Im digging the flatbed! Ive got vague plans for doing one on my 1st gen. How much flex do you have before the rear tires rub? Maybe I should ask on your build thread..Ill see myself out now.

I'm not sure I would have to measure. I've had a decent amount of weight on it and jumped on it a few times and they didn't rub. I'm sure you could modify the wheel arch area for more clearance if you wanted. This is just my version of a flatbed
