Owned this 1987 for about a month now. Immediately after buying it a Jeep TJ rear ended me, can't find a single stock bumper for sale. Bought it unmodified and with records since 1999 from the same mechanic. 243k on it.
...."can't find a single stock bumper for sale...."
You can advertise for one on here. Also look at eBay. There are none right now but if you search "87 Toyota pickup bumper" there are some universal step bumpers that will fit for about $160 shipped. Brackets sold separately. If you're getting into off roading you might want to get an armored one though for $300+. It seems like the Jeep man owes you the cost.
Nice red 4Runner. Are you going to take the running boards off?

Thinking of taking the running boards off... Everyone tells me I should... The problem is I need to find the black plastic trim pieces as well. Jeep man insurance gave me 715$ so I have some to work with. Not ever really going to take it on anything offroad that is too extreme, mainly just the dunes, I like having a stock rig.
damn, go through the expense, and effort, to install what i assume is a supercharger, and run a cheapie plastic/aluminum radiator?
It wasn't my first choice to keep the radiator, but its an easy swap if I run into some issues later on. Added an oil cooler to help with some of the cooling concerns. Should be able to find out if it was a poor choice to keep the radiator when its getting tuned later this week.

V6 Truck Radiator swap would do it, though by the amount of $ you've already thrown at that you may as well go 3 core custom.
I like those corners, what's with the balance weights on the outside though?
That's the way I got her home, the weights on the outside're ugly, but for a while, I'd like to install the OEM rims. The corners're a shade of pink, I'm not fan of them. I do like the stripes, they're the original ones.
Went back to Northwest OHV Park in Bridgeport for a Veterans Day charity event, and to put my new tires to the test. It was very muddy but tons of fun, and my tires didn't disappoint! The slippery conditions made climbing rocks a struggle though. I'll need lockers soon lol.
I'm also experimenting with resizing pictures so they aren't too big.
Took a 1,900 mile trip to Austin, TX for the Thanksgiving holiday. In front of the House Skatepark with my sons. 1992 SR5, 3.4 w/R150F, 4.88s w/lunchbox lockers f/r, 4" Pro Comp, 3/8" body lift, 35" MTRs.
