Hey Guys,
Been working on my 92 4runner, 3L V6 (3VZ-E) RV6
needed to pull out the starter motor to have a lok at the part number on it,
Thought id re-spray the access panel to it, Id like to stencil in the words "ACCESS PANEL"

I don't recall posting here before, so here goes: this is my 1989 Toyota pickup! It's got 144,000 miles on it and I paid exactly $0 for it 4 years ago. It had a small wreck when my buddy owned it and, not passing MD inspection when he moved back here, his HOA not so kindly told him to get rid of it. I needed a little farm beater, so it became mine!
it almost never sees road use since OD hasn't worked in about a year and the brakes have been terrible since I got if, but this little truck goes everywhere and does everything on the farm! I'd have to say it's probably the most useful piece of farm equipment ive ever had! Runs great.

Was following a friend to his backyard shop, which requires driving down a short wooded trail, and he said the view in his rearview mirror looked like a scenic brochure shot, so he decided to bust out the Nikon and capture it.

Bought this '92 SR5 Ext Cab back in October 2014. Used it as my dd until July. Now she's my dedicated hunting truck. Lot's of odd/ends to be done.
Truck already was sagging when i bought it. I'd really like to get an OME suspension in it eventually.
Not sure if previous owner changed the grill as I'm pretty sure '92-'95 have the circle Toyota logo grille? I purchased the Hella H4 conversion kit which should be arriving this week. Need more light in the bush!

Seems as though the previous owner did change the grille, as you have the '89-'91 grille.

I like that lower valence! Is it modified or somehow different than stock?

Thanks! It's just a cheap replacement valence from eBay, which i put on around 9 months before that picture was taken and i never painted it, so it was just the thin black primer coating that was probably more for preventing oxidation rather than looking good, hence why it turned from a decent glossy finish to a super dull finish after a number of months. I tried to spraypaint it shortly after this pic (so like a month ago) and screwed up so bad that i invented a whole new level of wrinkle/orangepeel haha! But it actually looks pretty good this way, surprisingly.

My valence was all beat up and therefore rubbed on my new tires.. I bought a new OEM style one for $60 at a body shop here in town but I haven't gotten around to painting/installing it. Mine was body coloured (Gunmetal ish).
I think I'd like to replace it with something that actually offers a little protection though, such as a tube style bumper..

Did I overpay?
1986 extra cab 22r
I paid $4000 for it. Had new rebuilt 22r and relatively new tranny, about 85,000 miles on tranny. 5 speed. Pretty damn straight all around, a few dings here and there. Seats are excellent for its age. 60/40 bench no rips or stains. Everything works as it should. Aside from the common cracked dash its very clean inside as well. Was 216,000 on trucks odometer. Im happy with it but have a few friends tell me I paid too much. Im a sucker for these 2nd gen trucks so that may have played into me paying what I did. What do you guys think? It was totally stock aside from a small lift. Now has a weber 32/36 and desmog with sensors plugged. Otherwise its stock. Have a straight axle waiting in the garage but thats really here nor there I guess. Just wondering if I paid too much?

Let your friends who don't have an old Yota and know not what they speak drool over what your rig can do once you do.
