Some vids of my 89, work in progress, 4runner 3.0 5speed..All stock except front bumper and A/T's...
looks weak but it was a pretty steep, wet 15 foot hill..with no lockers and its a paintball tower so it was pretty slippery..sorry for the poor quality..only had camera phone as a witness...

it is the factory spare tire rack. This is the first 2nd gen I have seen with a factory carrier like it. I thought it looked pretty good though. Thanks for the compliments I took a better photo today that shows the carrier a bit better will post them soon.

Thank you mattaway, I'm proud of this picture, perfect conditions, the powerlines creates a great landscape! I got to agree with you, it would have been EPIC with super swampers

My loyal friend, '93 3.0, 5 spd, 32 BFG MT
Here it is in the driveway a couple days ago
Here it is stuck in a nice puddle.
And here I am looking as silly as can be with a nice mud job on it.
Other than a gutted interior and 32" bfg mts, she is stock.
I'm not with her right now, I'm working in Afghanistan (land of the Toyota 4x4 woot!) but I plan on getting her built up over the next couple of years to be my expedition vehicle for North America.
Rock crawling doesn't appeal to me, but being self sufficient for days at a time does, so this hardy beast is going to take me all over the US when I come back for good. Lockers, gears, tires, aux tank, spare tire carrier, compressor, dual batts, CB, GPS, recovery gear, etc..... Should be fun!
