My first toyota
I'm buying this 4runner in two weeks. It's a 87 everything power train is good and the body is in good shape just needs a good paint job! Future build will be a solid axle conversion with 35 with 529 gears and a full interior redo

Put some aftermarket wheels on my pickup at the beginning of this semester! Decided to go with 16's even though I couldn't find anybody deviating from the typical 15" wheel setup -- I just knew I liked the look of 15's but felt like they'd look a hair better with just a bit more wheel and just a bit less tire to end up with the same outer diameter.
I got the metric tire size that equates to being negligibly different from the outer diameter and width of the factory optional size of 31x10.5x15, which turns out to be a 265/70r16. Still on the stock 4.100 gearing for the regular smaller tires, unlike the 4.556 that was equipped with the bigger tire option, yet surprisingly it's not all that bad on the ol' 22RE. Probably saves a little gas on the interstate cruising, but we'll see if I ever feel like it'd be worth the money/trouble to switch it up to a more suitable ratio (mind you, I'm a broke mechanical engineering student, so free time and free money are unfortunately rare these days haha).

I repainted the hood on my '93.. Looking real nice. Once the front end gets a bit cleaner, I'll post a full pic.
There is still a large, shallow dent toward the back, we couldn't pop it out right. There is a lot of thin bondo and finishing putty under the primer, 23 years worth of dents, chips, and cracks are gone.
The main proponent to get it painted is to get rid of the rust spot caused by a tree branch falling onto the hood ~2011. Bye bye rust!
All of this was done in the garage with my dad. No professionals
