Came across this sucker on craigslist in Vancouver and ended up overpaying a little but I'm still happy with her. Bought her with 416,000kms on the clock but it appeared that she had been taken care of and was mechanically perfect. Little bit of rust above the wind shield and on the rear quarters. I've got some plans to clean her up and get trail ready when it warms up again.

Take a look! Loving the long bed, fits the KX alright
Nice! And welcome to Yotatech.com ! Gotta love that long wheelbase!

Hi Everybody, I haven't been active on YT for a couple of months but I really wanted to share this video that I made of our recent off-road trip. This was a sponsored trip put together by Internet bands and Sponsored by BF Goodrich Tires. This event, named RocksToRiches, began in Barstow, CA Nov 14th and we traveled 180-190 miles off-road through the Mojave National Preserve to end up at the New York, New York Hotel in Las Vegas on Nov 15th. We headed back home to Los Angeles afterward on Sunday Nov 16,2014. This was such a fun experience. And although I was invited to bring my own truck I could not take it due to mechanical issues that weren't fixed in time. But luckily Nolan, the guy putting together this trip, allowed me and my girlfriend Faby To come along anyway while allowing My buddy JohnnyBoy to come along in my place to help Chefyota4x4 Represent our Yotatech.com forum.

Out of all these rigs only 2 were Yotatech members. So We had to represent our forum well. Hope you all enjoy!

New guy to the forum here, but not new to yota's or anything else mechanical for that matter. I've been a professional master mechanic for the last 15 or so years.

Some nice trucks in here for sure.

Here is mine.

Specs:

1995
3vze
5 speed with centerforce clutch
5.29s
33x12.5 BFG AT's on 15x10 AR wheels
arb air lockers front and rear
custom on board air tank for running air tools and such

There is a lot more but I'll put all of that into a separate thread so I can maintain it as needed.

I need to get some mechanical and fluid maintenance stuff done before winter sets in too much more and then this summer/spring all the chrome is going bye bye.

When I bought the truck a few months ago it had a tiny ding on the drivers side bed and the cowl had some dings where someone had tried to pry off the wiper blade.. I couldnt have asked for a straighter truck.. So besides removing the stock decal there was very little actual body work..

I used PPG paint.. I got it on a body shops account so I got the discount, not sure how much that was but I spent $300.00 on a gallon of paint, the catalyst and clear coat.. That was the lowest cost PPG.. The top shelf stuff was nearly a grand..

A friend of a friend who had just gotten outta jail and needed the work, did the body work, shot it, and did a cut and rub for about $1200.00

By the time it was said and done I have $1600 - $1700 give or take in this paint job..

$3500 - $3800 outta be plenty...

Judging from brown interior and the date, I believe that is also a 1986, just like my Ruby Tuesday. Do you guys think there were other years with red exterior and brown interior?

thanks man , you got a great deal on the whole thing cause I can tell you that paint job over here in California would run you at least 2500-3000 with minor body work and good paint like you used , like I said looks very nice !!!
