Last trip to Kistatinaw

We're moving at the end of the month so we've spent time at some of our favorite places around here. Mine is Kiskatinaw bridge and area, it was built on the historic Alaska Highway during the war, lots of trails, and the bridge itself is very unique. I've driven every one of my 27 vehicles I've owned since 1978 on it, and I will miss it very much; it's 1/2 hour from Fort St. John, and 1 mile from the farm I grew up on.
This is the trail up to the old army dump that used to be there, we got lots of neat things from it, old jerry cans, ammo boxes, etc that were dumped there after the bridge was finished. I have to confess an oooops! There were a couple of mud holes to go through, i put it in 4wd, gunned it through and away we went, it wasn't until we got back down that I realized I hand't locked the hubs in, it was the 1st 4 wheeling I'd done since I changed to locking hubs

Yeah, we have a daughter/grandaughter here and a son so we'll be back once in a while - it's about 7 hours - but we'll take the wifes subaru.

some river up in Wickenburg. rained a couple of days before. Just enough water to make it fun, not to mess up the truck. lots of sand. Feels strange going through thick sand
