Oh gosh.... I sware I'd be crying if I ever crashed my baby. I've invested far too much money into this truck to see it fall apart like that. Wow..... seriously stuff like this makes me seriously consider internal roll cages. I wouldnt mind an exo cage but I seriously dislike the look of them. At least for my own truck.

Well I got sliders done amd I just finished building my rear plate bumper. I need to work on the front armor now.

Did your friend get a nice estimate for the truck?

And btw does he have a classified ad anywhere?

Edit: No need for the comment. .... I'd just say Armor/frame reinforcement would surely have helped some in that wreck. ... I'm really sorry for him, 93x! Glad he's ok!

Glad your friend is alright. Sucks about the truck. It's one thing if you wreck your own vehicle, but if it's someone else's fault I think it's even worse. I try hard to take care of my 4Runner, but it's possible at any moment on the road that some idiot will wreck into me and ruin all the hard work I've put into it.

It's not even my truck and I almost shed a tear when I saw those pics. It just sucks watching the transformation for all those years and then just have it end up like that.

One of the next things I wanted to do to mine was build a set of square tube sliders. I just threw down over $900 for school so that won't be happening anytime soon.

As for the classified ad, he's just trying to sell stuff off locally to some people he knows. Most of it is already claimed.

When we wrecked mine the ARB definitely helped. Granted it folded into the engine bay but it definitely kept the vehicle together.. I was able to roll it to the road =) So I totally agree! And I prefer a steel plated bumper as opposed to a tubed stinger any day..

Gotcha. Was just wondering if he would sell the front axle with high steer conponents and rear 3rd. Maybe leafs. But yea thanks anyway. Hope he gets at least 1/2 of the money he invested into it back. Geeez.

Heck yea! I like tube bumpers but i honestly like the look of plate so much more then tube. Even though plate bumpers will weigh more... I think look wise its worth it.

Thanks Chef! I once went by Chef Tim. Looks like we have a few things in common I've been looking at your 'runner for a while now. Thanks for the inspiration.

Don't forget the EGR cooler plate at the back of the head. It's a pain to get to the bolts when the motor is in the truck.

I should also add nice looking motor. Just realized that's a Turbo block with a N/A exhaust. What's really happening?

A keen eye you have! I ordered a block off plate for the back of the head. Still waiting for it to show up, couldn't wait anymore.

And the turbo will be coming soon. Just had to get it on the road while I break in the engine and such.

That does look very nice! But with a full gas can, that is a lot of force on that one hinge when opened
