Looking good Chef! I think your smoother ride is actually due to the t-bars being tighter. I have found that a stiffer pre-load generally gives a more responsive ride, only to a certain point of course, too stiff and it'll ride like an empty 1-ton going down a flight of stairs, lol. When I re-sprung my motorcycle the springs were noticeably stiffer but the ride was much smoother and I could set the pre-load correctly. I don't know if there's any info in the FSM about what the static sag for the front end of our rigs is supposed to be, but if you can find it that would probably be what to shoot for to get in that sweet spot for ride quality.

Not going with a rattle can paint job. Lol. Gonna spray an automotive enamel acrylic. After talking to the wife about it, we(she) has decided on white with the stock toyota decal on the hood in black. Black grille and black rims.

good decision, mines spray not rattle can and holds up good, looks nice, I'm not worried if I scratch him tho. make sure you mask off tho! my whole engine compartment has a little yellow dusty sheen on everything

Yeah gonna take the doors off and the hood. I plan on spending a good few hours masking off. At my dads work they have boxes and boxes of sandpaper and masking tape. And 3 huge conpressors and spray guns so i wont need anything but paint, thinner and clear. Should be relatively cheap to paint it. Holding off till i get my new fenders, tailgate and vent window doors tho.

diggin the shift grip lol. personally not a fan of the s10 blazers but that looks like a clean little truck, my cousin had one and they're decent. why he not get a yota tho?? lol also my brother had thos same lights in his 86 5.0 mustang lol

Thanks! Oddly enough, it's one of my most favorite mods.
It wouldn't have been my first choice, but he just bought it to repair and then make it his daily driver to replace his '02 Dodge Stratus (piece of crap). It's not running right now (hence the trailer), but the lady he bought it from said it's the distributor. She actually threw in a new distributor, a new set of semi-metallic brake pads, oil filter, and some other stuff. It has the 4.3 V6, which is basically a small block with 2 cylinders chopped off, and we have a '68 chevy pickup, a '72 pickup, and a '72 Nova race car, all with small blocks, so we have loads of extra parts if we need them. So I guess there was a little method behind his madness.

I may be a yota chick, but I'm a chevy girl down at heart, I grew up with a chevy 3500 big block 454. My dream car is a 69 Chevelle big block race car (1200hp would be perfect) my twin loves Camaro's, my other sister likes the Nova's. My mom had a 74 big block el camino. you get the idea haha
with all those extra's I agree it was a pretty good buy

and I have a horrible need for speed haha hence my little 4banger truck, I'd lose my license or my life if i could go as fast as i wanted haha
also I'm always hunting down chevelles novas camaros el cos, and other yota trucks etc. but being in school without a job I can't buy anything i want haha.
right now tho i'm hunting for a yota for my sister, she's finally sick of her little car and wants a truck like the rest of the family haha

I periodically search craigslist for '68 - '72 Chevelles or '78-'81 Camaros/Trans Ams to build a street/strip car or '55 chevy 2 door post cars to build a gasser. I've actually been thinking about selling my truck and getting a beater daily driver and something to build up. But since I'm in college, that's not going to happen any time soon. I don't want to sell it, but I don't think i could justify having 3 vehicles now or in a couple years (race car, truck and daily driver w/ good mpg). I've gone slow for two years, now I'm itching for a fast car
