Nice to see chicks getting down n' dirty on the trails.
Lol just realized you name was 87 "ho" runner. Ha haa
Hey are you planning to get a new hood and fenders? Almost looks like you guys were trying to prep it for a paint job or is all that just to cover up rust damage?
Edit: missed the "E" on you name. Not funny to me anymore lol

Better hope those springs settle some. that shackle angle aint quite right. At worst you'll have to re-do your front hanger like i did ... idk maybe once you get the rear level it'll fall back some.

Got one at the cleaners...... why not? hahaha. I need to detail it again before going out for a trail run next time.... Bit of bushwack and such.... which the Hard Carnuba BEAUTIFULLY keeps from becoming 'literal' scratches......

LOL! Didn't you see the pics and video a few pages back? It was FILTHY! It almost brought a tear to my eye seeing it so muddy. Partly from the joy of seeing it having so much fun in the mud, and partly from knowing how much work it would take to make it clean again. Looks like it never happened now.

I think you're right, most of the older red 4runners and pickups i see are horribly faded probably because of a lack of clear coat. I detailed cars for a while and that faded red takes A LOT of work to get shining again. And I've said it before that I'm not a big fan of red, but Chefs truck is SEXY! You just don't see them that shiny.

Hahahaha.... thanks, guys! Always feels good to know it's appreciated(the work I put into it, detailing or otherwise )
I do believe it's clear coat free... but I can't know that for sure. I've just always, for 12 years and 168K Miles, always kept GOOD UV paste wax on it.... Used to use Mothers all the time, but now I believe Meguires has one of the better ones. When it begins to oxidize(which is does PRETTY QUICKLY on the driver side), I hit it with TR8..... Most parts stores still have it and I SWEAR by it, guys.... Take that stuff and a rotary buffer...... HOLY CRAP, it takes the 'PINK' out if it pretty quick! Then Meguires Carnuba wax & polish, the better paste they have. I use the buffer for that, too. Another tip I learned long ago...... For taking wax off without too much work? Corn Starch! Shake a bit onto that rag and see whatcha think on a test spot? REMOVES THAT STUFF LIKE A HOT KNIFE THROUGH BUTTER!
Another thing I've noticed...... The passenger side of EVERY ONE(2nd Gen PU or 1st Gen 4runner)... that I've owned that wasn't white? ALWAYS FADE! And most that I see, same thing. the passenger side and hood, FINE! Whole driver side? Oxidizes pretty fast.. IT HAS to be something they screwed up on thousands of them at the factory or something,...I'd guess. Can't say for sure, ...but, ,..... never know, I could be right! hehe.
Thanks again, guys.... That's NOTHING, far as the dirty factor that day.... You should have seen my white one after a 5 week trek through the Sierras, down from Mammoth, over back and forth, down to Death Valley, etc. It was crazy filthy, inside and out! lol..... I just figure.... if it's capable of looking clean.... and if it's my daily driver.... why not keep it clean?

That looks really good, Yota864x4
Hey guys, I got my 4runner rebuilt finally. She wasnt running for about 10 months, and was in the process of rebuilding her since the end of July. Got her started this last wednesday, and fully buttoned back up tonight. Running great! I'm so stoked! My Tundra will now go to being my second vehicle/winter beater.
The 22re feels SOOO gutless compared to the 2uzfe (4.7L v8)
