Always try to do only straight line pulls, your fairlead, bumper and frame will thank you.
The ARB (almost all other bumpers) are stronger when pulling in line with the frame rails (straight out pull). You can actually tweak the frame rails, not to mention the steering when winching like this.
Before you jump down my throat, I realize this is a "light pull" with the samurai probably running. Better safe than sorry, practice proper pulls every time.

Two wheeling, and stopped. The rear LSD couldn't move me more than a couple inches forward or backward before I was hung up on the bumper or stopped by the wall of sludge.

I appreciate the advice. I had never winched anyone out before. And yes the Sami was running and all he needed was a slight tug to get his shock free from the rock it was hung up on.

Will keep those tips in mind. Thank you!

THUMP....... DAYUMMMMMMMM! lol. Sweet ride! Nice flex, sir! My buddies is about the same set up... I asked him, "What about the rear fender well?" ..........he said, "What, that? OH, that's my upper bump stop!" haha.

SICK!

ChefYota4x4,

Thanks, yea the fender wells need cut but I'll probably leave them for now. It would flex a lot better because there's like 4-5in you can cut before you get into your fender tubs. It was on 39's but it's 37's now. Axles are full width D44 and Ford 9, all wheel disc brakes, yadda yadda yadda. I like the Yota axles just fine, the rear disc is a nice upgrade. My '82 is basically the same setup, but on Yota axles and smaller tires, same gears and everything.

With the 39's on it

Hit Lake Havasu, AZ for Fathers Day weekend... MAN I miss my pops! Anywhooooo..... Got some pics and video while there. I'll probably not post 2 of the videos here, as they're a lil long. But a lil shorty for fun, along with some pics(OH, and on the way there, I stopped at 140 Miles..... It took 5.5Gallons.WTH? hahaha. That's 23mpg, up some of the worst hills heading out of L.A. toward Vegas/AZ... The Cahon Pass, Hesperia climb to the 40hwy, etc.... Just not sure why I sometimes get 11-14 max in the city.... other than the TERRIBLE TRAFFIC? hahaha.. AND, ...THANKS AGAIN, ADAM![malteserunner]....cruise control worked LIKE CRAZY, most of the way there/other than the crazy hills! VERY grateful! )

ANYWAY, ....some pics and stuff's ........

The longer videos are on my build thread, if anyone is curious, haha.... But here's a lil one. My nephew is 12, he did a pretty good job, just the camera he had had a terrible mic, so he was ticked! haha... I told him, "it was a gift, man....I'm sure they meant well".... But he was just bummed, he said, cuz he couldn't hear all the talking we did in the other longer videos too well. hahaha. He jokes a lot and wants to impress, ya know? He said, "I didn't get that short one too well... You can't see how steep the hill is... LET'S GO BACK AND DO IT AGAIN!", ..... and I had to leave for the highway home in like 20 minutes, haha... Couldn't do it. But anyway, it did VERY well, considering, and after I figure out the rear and get the hangers/bump stops/etc., done, it'll do even better, front and rear.... (BTW, restoring the Suspension was worth every dime and knuckle crack! lol.... Also, the OMEmu steer damper is GOLDEN! AND, ..... The thing didn't make one pop or "Kerplunkt" no matter how I pushed it or got a lil air here and there, etc..... Very glad I went a lil extra in restoring certain things... it's CUSH! hahaha).....

Here's the lil video;

Dude that's awesome. I've been researching intakes and wanted to get more airflow bit didn't wanna loose the amount the regular paper filters filter out the bad stuff compared to the k&n filters. Your set up looks legit though.

Do you have a link for where u got that intake stuff from?
