So, I've had to rent a vehicle each weekend for the past 5 weeks. My company rents from the local Yota dealer. Normally I've been leaving my daily driven Subie there. Today, I had my Meatball at work and had to leave on short notice and wound up parking it at the dealer. About an hour after I had left and was on the road, the lady from the rental counter called and wanted to know when I'd be back, there were several mechanics that are wanting to talk to me about all that has been done to it. Too bad I can't bring it on the trip, but the company finds it more economical to rent than pay mileage. But on the bright side I get extended test drives of brand new Yotas. I've had a TRD Tundra crew cab, Camry SE, and Scion tC; all 2012 models. Still miss my Meatball.

I know i should dig back through the mounds of pages, but im kinda on a short time frame for this deal. Anyone have themselves, know who does, or have links to anyone running a gen 2 runner on 20inch rims with 35inch terra grapplers? Counter man at the mechanic's just offered me a set off his brother's ride for $600. looking for pics and some suspension build info. My '94 is on stock suspension atm and just curious to see one done with similar setup and just how much $ ill be sinking on top of the $600. Know this may not be the ideal place for the ? but i would love pics of such a setup with a little info on suspension mods required to give me a better idea what i will have tied up above and beyond the cash for the wheels and tires.

Hey funksrunner. One question. Do you plan on ever off roading with your truck? And if u do, do u plan to go off roading in those rims and tires or will you have another set for off roading. I ask this because if u do plan to then those tires are gonna suck when you deflate them to grip for off road trails.
Sorry I know I didn't answer your question but just thought I'd ask that so u can think of it before you buy them. I have a friend that bought some 20"s and liked the look but soon after on his first off road trip he began to hate them. He went on and sold them after that trip and bought himself some good ol' 15" rims.
It gets a hell of a lot more grip and cushiony feeling then 20"s do.

Yeah, I fully agree on thumbing down the rim size. Currently I'm running on stock 31x10.5x15s that are rather dated and starting to dry rot. New set of tires worth their salt is out of my budget atm. Been wanting to go to 35s eventually anyhow. Honestly figure to in the future use the 20s for some street radials and put new MTs on some new rims some time when cash is more plentiful. In the mean time though these are cheaper than new 31s, include rims (gawdy or not), and will give me something to play with spacing with. Just curious on the general appearance and some particulars on getting them in there. I need to get some more detailed info on em before making a decision. Just looking for visuals on the concept more than anything else. Don't hold it against me lol, just seemed like a reasonable price and I need new rubber atm.

That ranger was tired 100k ago
The ranger broke the wheel loose, but it was still stuck. I backed the lugs off really loose and took it out again and really went hard on it. When I got back it was loose for the most part and I just jacked it up and yanked the rest of the way by hand....
I really wish they weren't mags, if I could have applied alite heat I'm sure they would've came right off

I'm proud of my yoda It's my 2nd 1st gen 4runner and by far the most capable that I've had. It was bone stock very clean original paint from washington and I just modified it to fit my trail needs. It's come a long way in 2years all I have left to do is beadlock rims and a engine swap. I loved looking at everyone's toyota's for ideas when I got this . I hope it gives someone else the same chance . All our toy's are different but they are an extension of us a little .Modified and still get 22 mpg with 35's try that in a jeep!
