-finally posting pics of my $20 car (until i bought new tires for it... that upped my investment some.)
now with 10 ply 265/75/16's
back when i had 33's on it:
for those who wanted proof that i did in fact change swap out the v6 for a 22re: (note v6 emblems... i'll have to find something interesting to replace them)
and proof for those who doubted that i made this 2wd into a 4x4:
with hubs to match: (man, i like these tires!)
i just made a 4,400 mile trip in this to nicaragua where we are living for the time being... ran great, drove great and averaged 24.8 MPG!!!
to do list:

to do list:
- build new (better) bumpers front and rear... possibly space tire mount on rear
- full length roof rack
- 1.5-2" lift in back
- argue with wife about the merits of chopping the future family rig ( i love chopped 4runners!)
- incorporate offroad lights and rear brake lights into roof rack

Thats funny. Never noticed that.
I needed to be winched once that day, but being so close to home, I just use this when I get stuck ( I was out by my self the before the group came over)
My step dad loves wheelin his excavator. haha. Will come in really handy in the spring clearing new trails.
And some more poser shots

New here. First post ever! Been following these boards for quite a while now, and just got around to posting after the new tires.
We bought my 95 2WD for my daughter's first car back in '05. She drove it until '08 and hated it! When I took over driving it daily, the entire cooling system pretty much bit the dust. Almost monthly I was fixing a broken hose, water pump, radiator and even had to replace the dreaded head gasket.
The first pic is before with 31x10.5's and the second is after a 4 Crawler 2" body lift and 33x12.5's. The ultimate plan is to convert to 4WD, but we'll see how that goes.

Thanks all.
Irab, I think mine is what they call a pre-runner? It has mounts on the frame for the front diff, and the hubs have a splined hole 'em. I was just hoping to get all the necessary under garments and screw it all together!
Not that I wouldn't want to do an SAS. I had a '84 PU back in the day. I think the last year of the straight axle? Also the last year of the carbureted 22R. Man, I wish I still had that truck!
